INSEAD is an international graduate business school and research institution based in Fontainebleau and Singapore. It is one of the leading business schools in the world.

Founded in 1957 by Georges Doriot, Claude Janssen, and Olivier Giscard d’Estaing, its main differentiation factor lies in its global perspective and cultural diversity.

INSEAD has two full campuses in Europe (France) and in Asia (Singapore), a center in Abu Dhabi and a research center in Israel. It is also linked to the Wharton business school through a global strategic alliance.

INSEAD offers several programs: a full-time MBA program, a PhD in Management program, and several executive education programs (including an Executive MBA).

NSEAD’s mission is to "promote a non-dogmatic learning environment that brings together people, cultures and ideas from around the world, changing lives, and helping transform organizations through management education", "develop responsible, thoughtful leaders and entrepreneurs who create value for their organisations and their communities" and "through research, expand the frontiers of academic thought and influence business practice

INSEAD has two equal status, fully equipped campuses. The original campus is located in Fontainebleau, near Paris, France, adjacent to the second largest forest in metropolitan France . INSEAD’s other main campus is in the Buona Vista district of the city-state of Singapore. They are officially called the Europe Campus and Asia Campus respectively. INSEAD officially characterizes itself as neither a French nor a Singaporean, but as a global school. INSEAD also has an Executive Education and Research Centre in Abu Dhabi, a North Americas office in New York City, and a Research Centre in Israel.

Admission to the INSEAD MBA program is extremely competitive. The Admissions Committee selects candidates from a pool of applicants on the basis of various qualities and look in particular for excellent academic performance, career progress, interpersonal skills and leadership potential.

All applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, demonstrate fluency in English and are required to submit a lengthy application with detailed essays supporting their case, a profile, two letters of recommendation, official academic transcripts, their Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score, a statement of integrity and their TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) score (for non-native English speakers) or entry language certification (for native English speakers). MBA participants’ average GMAT score has consistently been above 700 over the last 5 years.

Applicants who successfully pass the initial stage of the highly selective screening process by the Admissions Committee are invited to two interviews conducted by two different INSEAD MBA alumni in their country of residence.
